  2. To use Cypress's CD-ROM follow the instructions below for your system.
  3.  
  4. 1.  Install Acrobat (TM) Reader, if you do not already have it installed.  The latest version (Version 2.1) is included on the CD-ROM for Macintosh, Windows 3.x, Windows 95, Windows NT, Sun Solaris, and SGI AIX operating systems.
  5.  
  6. 2.  Open any one of the index documents on the CD.
  7.  
  8. INDEX - gives the title and reference for all documents on the CD.
  9.  
  10. SELECTOR - is a selector guide to most of Cypress's products.  For a complete listing look in the appropriate section of the DOCINDEX.
  11.  
  12. NUMINDEX - a numerical index of all Cypress data sheets.
  13.  
  14. 3.  Bold blue underlined text indicates a hyperlink to another document.  Click on such text to retrieve the corresponding document (DOS and UNIX versions of Acrobat do not support these hyperlinks.  You will need to manually select the document from the /DOCS directory, referencing the .pdf filename listed in DOCINDEX.).

  17. ACROBAT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  19. WINDOWS USERS:
  20. System requirements:  
  21.     Requires 386-, 486-, or Pentium(R)- based processor
  22.     Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows NT 3.5 or greater
  23.     4MB RAM or greater
  24.  
  25. To install Acrobat Reader 2.1 on your hard drive:
  26. 1)  From the Windows Program Manager, choose Run from the File menu and type 
  27. (YOUR CD-ROM DRIVE LETTER):\acrobat\windows\acroread.exe and press Enter.

  29. WINDOWS '95 USERS:
  30. Click on "Start" on the taskbar, choose Run, then type in the dialog box 
  31. (YOUR DRIVE DESIGNATOR):\acrobat\windows\acroread.exe
  32.  
  33. MACINTOSH USERS:
  34. System requirements:  
  35.     Macintosh computer with 68020 or greater processor
  36.     Apple "System Software" version 7.0 or greater
  37.     2MB of application RAM
  38.  
  39. To install Acrobat Reader 2.1 on your hard drive:
  40. 1)  Double-click the ACROBAT folder once in the Cypress CD.  Within the ACROBAT folder, double-click the ACROMAC folder.
  41. 2)  Within the ACROMAC folder, double-click the Disk 1 folder.
  42. 3)  Within the Disk 1 folder, double-click the ACROREAD.MAC icon.

  44. To install Acrobat Reader 2.1 for UNIX, follow these steps:

  46. SUNOS, SOLARIS, AND HP-UX USERS:
  47. System requirements:  
  48.     Sun SPARCstation workstation
  49.     Solaris - 1.1 operating system software (SUNOS version 4.1.3 or 4.1.4) or
  50.         Solaris 2.3 or greater
  51.     OpenWindows (version 3.0 or greater) or Motif window manager 
  52.         (version 1.1.2 or greater)
  53.     HP-UX 9.03 and above
  54.     8MB of application RAM
  55.     14MB hard disk space
  56.  
  57. To install Acrobat Reader on your hard drive:
  58. Please go to the folder ACROBAT/ACROSUN or ACROSGI. Un"tar" the .tar archive file (tar -xvf filename) and follow the instructions in the file "INSTGUID.TXT"
